Lauren Ruben

Therapist

Lauren Ruben is a Licensed Professional Counselor with almost 10 years of experience specializing in Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma-and-Stressor-Related Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and grief and loss. Lauren treats patients between the ages of 11 and 90 utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Person Centered, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Lauren also embeds stress management strategies into her sessions, some of which can be seen as a catalyst for bridging the gap between mind and body. Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Michigan State University and her Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Illinois Institute of Technology. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Lauren loves gardening and being outdoors, and cooking while listening to music or an audiobook. Lauren is passionate about integrative health and is knowledgeable about the intersections of mental health and chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, and feels it is a privilege to be part of your collaborative care team in order to facilitate lifelong change. Whether support means addressing relationship difficulties, adjusting to challenging life changes, or self-discovery, Lauren looks forward to building a therapeutic alliance and supporting your journey towards better mental health and a strengthened sense of wellbeing.

Linda Stewart

Therapist

Linda is a Licensed Practicing Counselor (LPC), (8 years’ experience). She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Master’s degree in Higher Education/Leadership and her Bachelor’s is in Community Service – Family Counseling. She is formally trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. She has extensive experience with other evidenced based mental health treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy. Currently, she leans toward an eclectic style of therapeutic delivery including, Person Centered, Brief Solution Focused, Existential/Rogerian and Faith Based therapies in order to meet a broad scope of client needs. She has the ability to assess others needs effortlessly and instill hope for change. She is driven to help others better understand themselves, navigate through life’s difficulties and overcome obstacles. Most important, to build capacity for wellbeing, love, peace, and happiness . . . which leads to productive, healthy, meaningful lives. She gained most of her experience while working in community mental health. She worked with diverse populations - both individual and groups. While she is drawn to Brief Solution Focused Therapy 5-12 sessions, she uses other intervention models that are longer. She had a high level of empathy and compassion which stems from life’s experiences, and she strongly believes in providing unconditional positive regard to all clients. She is a person of Faith and utilizes Biblical principles only IF REQUESTED. She is able to separate her beliefs and views from others’ and values the differences. She does not impose my views, nor does she judge others’. She has proficiencies in Couples/relationship counseling and Career Counseling, i.e. career planning, academic planning, career assessments and Life Skills.

Angelina Perkins, LCSW

Therapist

Angelina Perkins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Michigan who has been practicing since 2007. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work with an Empowerment Focus. Angelina offers her clients an open space to voice areas of their lives in which they feel they have room for growth or are experiencing frustration. The opportunity then becomes how they both tackle each obstacle together so clients can lead a more fulfilled, happier life. When working with clients she feels it's important to listen to their goals and solutions that work for them. Angelina enjoys free time with her family, reading books, playing with all their animals, and rollerblading. Listening to music continues to be her favorite way to relax.

Ryan Rollins, LCSW

I am a proponent of reality based therapy and specialize in work with people impacted by narcissistic abuse, childhood trauma and a wide range of symptoms that include anxiety, depression, PTSD, cPTSD, trauma, Interpersonal relationships issues, and self esteem. Clients find my authentic and engaging approaches to therapy an invitation to unpack and explore themselves in a safe place.

Kayla Young, LCSW

Kayla Young, LCSW Kayla Young is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Michigan who started practicing in 2018. She has a Bachelor’s in Gender and Health from University of Michigan and a Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University. Kayla has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults from all backgrounds. She works with some individuals struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Life Transitions, College Prep, Adolescent Transitions, Relationship issues, Behavioral Problems, Self-Esteem, PTSD, and trauma. With the use of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness and more, you and Kayla will work together to set person centered goals to enhance coping skills and change behavior patterns that may be contributing to a client’s mood. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys reading good books from thriller and romance genres. She likes to binge watch different shows and watch movies on all different streaming platforms. Lastly, she enjoys spending time with family and trying new restaurants with friends.
